Amanda is a lifelong athlete and fitness coach. Training lifestyle athletes along with developing personal trainers across the country allows her to stay in tune with the latest in fitness education.

Fitness Philosophy

Amanda understands that working out can often be daunting and frustrating. Many people face various obstacles, such as fear due to previous injuries, negative body image, unfamiliarity with exercise equipment, or a lack of knowledge about the most effective ways to reach their fitness goals. She recognizes that every individual's fitness journey is personal and their aspirations are diverse – whether it's playing with your grandchildren without pain, achieving 25 pushups, or feeling strong during your next weekend adventure.

Amanda's mission is to empower you by enhancing your confidence through pain-free movement, developing your kinesthetic awareness, and guiding you toward reaching your physical fitness goals. The journey starts with a thorough assessment that helps us establish realistic and tailored fitness objectives. From there, you'll progress through a series of carefully designed movement patterns that focus on improving mobility, stability, and strength. Amanda's approach is to make healthy movement patterns enjoyable while taking a gentle and nurturing approach to address any dysfunctional patterns – it's like hiding the medicine in applesauce. This balanced method not only allows your body to adapt comfortably to exercise but ensures that you leave each session feeling better than when you started.

Everyone is a lifelong athlete in their own right, each with a unique lifestyle and schedule. Amanda is dedicated to helping you maximize your potential by customizing your workout program to suit your specific needs and busy lifestyle. It's not just about getting fit; it's about increasing your confidence through movement and tailoring your fitness journey to align with your life, goals, and preferences.

Background

Amanda is a former NCAA Division 1 gymnast, holding both a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Fitness and a Masters in Education; Health Education, and Promotion from the University of Missouri.

She started off her fitness career as a strength conditioning coach for many University of Missouri’s athletics teams. She then worked with lifestyle athletes as a fitness trainer at Equinox in Chicago. While there, she began teaching junior trainers anatomy, kinesiology, and how to build their businesses. Amanda led each of the four Equinox clubs in Chicago, ultimately overseeing all tiers of trainers as a personal training manager. She then worked with her team to establish a new tier of service, focused on holistic wellness, designed for those who need the utmost insight into their health.

Amanda then moved to San Francisco to build out Equinox’s highest-echelon fitness club, all while continuing to train lifestyle athletes in her free time. She launched E-Club and filled it to capacity within just eight months. She left as the regional development manager of the Pacific Northwest, Canada, and London regions. Subsequently, she was the director of operations at Forme, a fitness technology company focused on bringing live virtual one-on-one training into homes across the country.

Throughout her career, Amanda remained committed to both training clients and staying updated on the latest advancements in fitness technology and techniques. The challenges of the pandemic lockdowns led her to discover her true passion: working one-on-one with clients to help them achieve their lifestyle and fitness goals.

In her leisure time, she finds joy in hiking throughout the Bay Area, cherishing moments with her cat, Gemma, attending live music concerts, and exploring various destinations around the world.
